[[http://example.com|Externer Link]] Workshop on Reduction and Visualization Techniques for Analyzing Large and Complex Systems

March 13-14, 2006
Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Germany

Scope

This workshop will take place on March 13/14, 2006, at Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Germany. It is a joint meeting of the EU-project DELIS and the DFG-Schwerpunkt Nr. 1126 - Algorithms on Large and Complex Networks. Its focus is to share and distribute our knowledge about reduction and visualization techniques that can be used to enhance the analysis of large and complex networks. We want to provide the possibility to exchange information about reduction and visualization techniques as well as their combinations. More precisely, we want to collect, share, and distribute practical and theoretical results, like (successful) applications, proofs of intractability, approximation guarantees, provable properties, and heuristics for fast computations. In addition, we welcome open problems or requests for suitable reduction techniques, or proper (graphical) representations to be applied in the analysis of specific tasks in the context of large and complex networks.

We invite all participants to give a presentation (approx. 10-25 minutes).

This scope is also available as PDF.

Location

The workshop will take place at the main building of the Department of Computer Science (Informatik-Hauptgebäude, Am Fasanengarten 5) in Room 301. There is an overhead projector, an LCD projector for laptop-based presentations and a blackboard available.

Please have a look at our visitor information pages (in German).
